Opens a formal investigation: evidence and notes can be added as it progresses, and it can be closed with a recommendation once complete.
A disciplinary sanction for a misconduct matter needs a closed investigation behind it; Terio will ask you to open one first rather than skip the step.
Harassment and police involvement
If an investigation involves harassment or police involvement, Terio treats it as the highest-risk category and recommends taking specialist advice. Until an admin has acknowledged that, Terio will not record a warning or draft disciplinary documents for that case.
