Issuing Warnings
Example query
Issue a verbal warning to [name] for [reason]
Terio will confirm the employee, warning level, reason, and default expiry date before proceeding:
- Verbal warning expires after 6 months by default
- Written warning expires after 12 months by default
- Final warning expires after 18 months by default
You can specify a different expiry date if needed. Terio creates the sanction record after confirmation.
Example query
Issue a written warning to [name] for [reason]
Same flow as verbal warning with a 12-month default expiry.
Example query
Issue a final warning to [name] for [reason]
Same flow with an 18-month default expiry.
Example query
Record a conduct record for [name]
Creates a formal record of a conduct discussion that is not yet a warning. Use this when a formal letter has been issued but no sanction has been imposed. Expires after 12 months by default.
Reasons
A warning must carry the decision-maker’s own reasons. Terio will ask for them directly and never writes them itself.
After Issuing a Warning
After generating any formal conduct or warning letter, Terio will ask whether you want to record the matter formally as a sanction. These are two separate steps: generating the letter and creating the sanction record.
